About the Teacher
My name is Ms Hutchins. I've been teaching high school English in British Columbia, Canada for the past 23 years and am excited to bring my most successful lessons to students all over the world, to people from every walk of life.
Hiring a qualified tutor is costly, but group sessions allow me to keep costs reasonable. Giving individual attention in a group setting is something I do all the time in a high school classroom, and advances in technology now allow me to do the same online. *
*Because I am a certified teacher, allotment money given to the parents of home-schoolers may be used for my services. Though, you would need to check with your local school district liaison.
Due to demand, I am now offering tutoring to small groups as well as intensive skill building courses to larger groups. Sessions include the following:

A set number of 90-minute online classes or tutoring sessions with real-time, face-to-face teacher instruction and interaction via Microsoft Teams

Valuable in-class and take-home practice exercises to reinforce classroom instruction

Access to the downloadable files presented in class and stored in the Microsoft Teams virtual classroom for the duration of the course. (This includes a grammar-improvement package for self-improvement outside the parameters of the course content – for those students who need it.)

About the Classroom
Online classes and tutoring will take place through Microsoft Teams
Once you've registered for a session, within a couple of days, you will receive easy, sign-in information, giving you access to the online Teams classroom. This is where you'll go to attend class meetings and access practice exercises.
At the start of each class meeting, Ms. Hutchins will greet you in real time and present an overview of the session which includes face-to-face* lessons, activities, exercises, feedback and optional, follow-up homework.
